Americans, it’s been said, love a winner. True enough, we do. But if you look deeper at the stories we tell, at the stories we watch, you find that Americans really love redemption. We love that hero who overcomes adversity, who snatches victory from the jaws of defeat, who never quits, who finds a way, who enlists allies and former enemies, and, most of all, we love that hero who returns from defeat to fight and win.

We love redemption stories because redemption is fundamental to our nature as human beings. We believe that we are never completely lost, that somewhere in the darkness there is a way back for us. We believe this because we believe in our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate redemption story. He didn’t just come back from defeat, of course. He came back from the dead and said, “I’m back and you can come back, too. Just believe in me.”

And we do. And so we can come back. We can come back from the mistakes we’ve made. We can come back from the dark times. We can come back from the defeats. We see it and we feel it. This culture, the American culture, sees it and feels it. Our stories are not just about winners who breeze through life beating everyone around them, but are about winners who overcome and find redemption to win.

That is why today, Election Day 2024, is Redemption Day 2024 because today is the day Donald J. Trump returns from defeat in 2020 to victory in 2024. Today is the day he comes back from the cheating, from the lawsuits, from the political persecutions, from the character assassination, and from the physical assassination attempts to once again win the presidency of the United States.

It is an inspiring story to millions and millions of us who support and love this man, our warrior President. He has always told us that he stands between them and us; He has showed us these past four years he wasn’t just saying that. He was living it. When they finally had enough after failing to silence him politically, failing to silence him legally, they tried to silence him permanently with an assassin’s bullet. They failed at that, too, by the grace of God, and up rose Donald J. Trump defiantly to shout at them and to us, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Today we show our support by voting to return him to lead our country. We join in his redemption story and we join in the redemption story of these United States as we Make America Great Again.

Election Day 2024 truly is Redemption Day 2024.
